Wisconsin Prison Settles ACLU suit.

The AP (8/19) reported, "State prison officials have settled a federal lawsuit alleging poor health care at Wisconsin's largest women's prison. The American Civil Liberties Union filed the suit in 2006 alleging medical, mental and dental care was grossly deficient at Taycheedah Correctional Institution in Fond Du Lac. Under the settlement, the prison must attain accreditation from the National Commission on Correctional Health Care, an independent doctor will review prison care, the prison must hire a new associate medical director who will oversee all clinical care and nurses will continue to administer prisoner medications."
